In this 2-hour workshop, you'll create a beautiful vase using the slab-building technique before exploring the decorative art of Sgraffito. Working at your own pace with personalized guidance throughout the session, you'll learn how to shape your vase from clay and then decorate it using Sgraffito. This traditional technique is applied while the clay is still leather-hard, using fine loop carving tools to scratch lines, patterns, and textures through layers of coloured engobes (slips). By carving through the contrasting colours, you'll reveal the clay beneath and create a unique, hand-crafted design full of character.
